Many workplaces have essential requirements such as good communication and writing skills, both of which are developed throughout students' education up to and including degree level. Essay writing provides a basic format that can be applied to other writing assignments as well, which benefits students later in the workplace at some point in their careers; therefore making traditional essay writing an asset to the education system.
