According to the article titled “10 Examples of Gender Bias You May Encounter in the Workplace”, by Jack Wallen, he stated that gender bias occurs when the gender is discriminated against but should not be acceptable in the workplace (Wallen,2015). Some of the gender differences are pay disparity. Most organizations pay people based on gender rather than the individuals' job performance. Another gender difference is the interview questions. When the job recruiter interviews candidates for a certain position, the questions are different for a male and female job candidate. For example, questions for women: Do you have children, are you planning to start a family, or do you have adequate childcare? These questions are illegal but job recruiters continue to ask these questions. Job responsibilities can be a problem in the workplace. Most organizations do not allow women to do manual labor. It is optional for women to do manual labor. This proved unfair to all races involved. Gender bias can also be found in conversations. It's important for managers to have the same conversations they have with female and male employees. If the manager finds that he is using a different tone to convey the message to female employees, then he must adjust the tone of delivery of the message to be the same as the way he delivers the message to male employees.
