Topic > How to evangelize using the right method for the situation

A person can evangelize in many different ways. There are intellectual methods, relational methods and conflictual methods. There is no right or wrong way to evangelize, there is only the right method for the situation. In this article I will discuss one way of evangelizing for each of the different methods. This article will include the Roman Way evangelism method, the Friendship evangelism method, and the door-to-door evangelism method. The Roman Way method of evangelism is well known to many Christians and may seem like one of the safest ways to evangelize. The “road” is a road map of Bible verses arranged in such a way as to help lead someone to Christ. It's a very logical way to evangelize. The first step on the path to the Romans is that everyone has sinned. Romans 3:10 states, “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.” Again, in Romans 3:23 we are told, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 5:12 tells us, “Therefore, just as through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and through sin death; and so death has passed upon all men, because all have sinned.” When Adam sinned, he brought the curse of sin upon all mankind. This is why everyone is born with a sinful nature; it has been handed down from the time of Adam. Second, there is a penalty for sin. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Death is the punishment for sin, physical death and a second death. We are born spiritually dead. Adam and Eve died spiritually the moment they sinned, and all their descendants have been born spiritually dead ever since. This is why a person must be reborn spiritually. The Holy Spirit of God is that spiritual life. The Bible also talks about a Second Death, which means... middle of paper... shine through me that they too may know that love. However, if the situation requires it, I also use the more direct Romans Road method. There are many people in my life who I would like to be with me in heaven. I don't want anyone to perish, but for everyone to know the glory of God. I personally am not comfortable with any of the more confrontational methods and try to avoid them at all costs. I am not a public speaker and I freeze in front of crowds of people. However, when I feel very comfortable with a person, I have no problem witnessing to them in hopes of winning souls for Christ!
