Have you ever wondered if you could survive a 20-year voyage on the sea? Well, in the story of Homer's Odyssey, the main character was Odysseus. The story was mostly a mission; Odysseus left his home in Ithaca on a 20-year journey home. During that time he had many ups and downs but still managed to return home. But there were three things that helped him accomplish his mission: his courage, his intelligence, and his self-control. Being courageous can get you through many things in life, but it can also hurt you. Odysseus was brave in many parts of the story; an example is in the episode of the Cyclops. At the beginning of Cyclops, Odysseus started out really brave by having the courage to enter a large cave of one-eyed giants, Cyclops, with no worries or worries about what the consequences would be. The Cyclopes returned home and discovered that they were there. He too was brave at the end of Cyclops.
