People know how dangerous texting while driving can be, but they choose to ignore it. People believed that it would never happen to them, that they wouldn't have an accident. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 97 percent of teens say texting and driving are dangerous, but 43 percent admit to doing it. Additionally, 77% of teens say their parents text while driving. Is this the message adults want their children to see and know, that it's okay to text and drive? Start with them; it starts with the elderly. Children and adolescents follow in their parents' footsteps, what they see their parents do is what they will do. Adults need to stop texting and driving too
