Have you ever wanted something so badly that you let nothing stand between you and that goal, even though you know it will take everything you have? Have you ever had a moment where you feel like giving up, but you keep going? King Odysseus is a man who had everything taken away from him on his journey home after the great battle of Troy, and he experienced many such moments in Homer's epic "The Odyssey." Odysseus shows his extreme determination throughout this exciting story. Odysseus is a man separated from his wife, his son and his home. All he wants is to go home, and he won't stop until he uses all his wisdom to go home and be with the people he loves in the land he loves. For twenty years he will not lay eyes on the beauty of his land, but he will never give up. Even the most beautiful goddess, Calypso, could not seduce him and stay with her when he had the choice to stay or leave. Not even the sorceress Circe could convince him to stay with her. His eyes were always turned to his homeland. Once Odysseus and his men arrived in the land of the Cyclopes, he did not take his entire crew with him. He brought only his best fighters with him, proving how wise he was in strategy. And again, to further demonstrate his wisdom, when Polyphemus, the Cyclops who trapped Odysseus and his men, asked Odysseus where his ship was, and Odysseus, using wisdom, convinced the Cyclops that their ship had been destroyed and that they were the only survivors. . This prevented the Cyclopes from going after the crew's ship and finding it, killing everyone on board. Odysseus continued to demonstrate his wisdom in the Cyclops' lair as he worked to get out of the cave. While Polyphemus took care of... the sheet of paper... the beggar Odysseus was disguised to be brought to her so that she could interrogate him and ask him if he knew of her husband's fate. Odysseus wanted to reveal himself to Penelope at that moment, but he had to hold back, because if Penelope knew that Odysseus was the beggar, she might ruin everything and have them killed. This is another example of Odysseus' wisdom and also his determination to kill all the suitors without anyone else dying. As you can see, Odysseus is an extremely wise and determined man. Can you imagine going through everything Odysseus did without making any mistakes along the way? No matter what happened in the epic, Odysseus did not stop and always used his brain in every situation until he returned home. Odysseus used every bit of wisdom and determination he had in his body, and succeeded, proving to everyone what a wise and determined man he was...
