Topic > The Importance of Weather Classification - 1487

As global warming continues to impact the earth, hotter days will become more frequent, meaning there will be more heat waves. “Storms, floods and droughts will generally be more severe as rainfall patterns change. Hurricanes may increase in intensity due to warmer ocean surface temperatures” (Przyborski, 2013). Over the past fifty years, these types of weather conditions have increased and global warming is the main cause. Unfortunately, heat and climate aren't the only thing happening with global warming. Sea level rise is also a major concern to pay attention to. When this starts to happen, sea levels will begin to erode coastlines and cause more frequent flooding. One could almost conclude that some islands will disappear. This could start to become a serious concern because 10% of the world's land lives about ten meters above sea level. As all of these world factors continue to play a part here on earth, things may start to get a little more difficult to deal with. Addressing these issues will not only impact the world as a whole, but also the people who live in it. Homes will be destroyed and there will be fewer opportunities for us to continue our journey here
