Coffee is an external influence that improves athletic performance, helps eliminate or assist in the performance of uncomfortable physical tasks, and reduces fatigue. It also increases the amount of adrenaline in your system, causing a surge of additional glucose and oxygen into your muscles. Coffee has been found to help with any type of activity, such as perseverance exercises like a marathon or the Iron Man rivalry, and short, intensive control exercises lasting about 4-8 minutes (n,d.).
