The Government of England and Wales has made changes to the law and order discourse and policy relating to crime and disorder which has increased at a higher rate over the last 20 years, the changes brought about are examined in depth through different means and the political response to these changes is one of the most important points to be discussed. There are always political responses especially in the case of changes to the law. There is a positive or negative response to changes in the discourse and policy of the law. The change in the law and order policy has brought some positive changes in the political response as it is done for the betterment of the society. Examining the changes in discourse and policy regarding law and order, it is observed that the policy response is very acceptable as the changes have helped the governments to function properly. Criminal activity and unrest were intersecting the governmental and social culture of society, changes in the law made it easier for the government to do its business
