The greatest gift someone can receive from another is their faith. Faith in someone indicates that even if they can't see the rest of the way, they have enough faith to take the first step. Many religions require their followers to have unshakable faith, even when certain stories or situations may lead them to question its veracity. Followers of Yahweh generally reap rewards for their trust and loyalty in their Lord. On the other hand, God usually punishes their opponents. The above statement means that a person's faith determines the degree of beneficence. People in the Old and New Testaments perform and receive miracles based on the level of their faith in God. Elijah is not the first prophet of the Bible, but he is one of the first to receive public miracles directly from Yahweh. Elijah never questions Yahweh and possesses unshakable faith in his Lord. Elijah believes so strongly in God that he pours water on the pile of wood before a sacrifice, which each god (Baal or Yahweh) must light, just so everyone can see how powerful his Lord is. Elijah never questions any command given by Yahweh: “Elijah went and did as the Lord had said” (Roche 234). Elijah responds like this, when he is assigned a task, and since he never disputes or challenges it, God willingly rewards him, when the prophet needs a miracle. This divine alliance is manifested when he asks God to light the wet wood; lightning immediately ignites the ox and wood into an impressive fire. Only faith leads to the fulfillment of Elijah's prayer, which sets an example for future people who desperately need miracles. Daniel's stories show followers that God will grant miracles to the faithful. Daniel with... half the paper... without even touching the boy Jesus brings him back to life. Jesus heals the boy, because his father placed all his faith in Jesus. People who reap the benefits of the miracles performed by Jesus have faith in his ability to use his God-given powers. Jesus performs extraordinary and awe-inspiring miracles for Yahweh's loyal followers, who offer only their faith. Jesus, Daniel, and Elijah tell stories of how faith and faith alone leads to spectacular miracles. The extreme faith of the prophets and the people shows that even if they don't think this will happen, they believe that through God their prayers will be answered. Although people do not document extraordinary inspired divine miracles on a daily basis, in modern times, the stories of the Bible show us that the most powerful thing one person can have in another is unlimited, untainted, and complete faith..
