LCD/Flat Panel Monitors: LCD is short for liquid crystal display. LCD technology can be found in computer monitors. The LCD display is the monitor; the primary purpose of a monitor in a computer system is to display computer-generated text and graphics. The LCD monitor is connected via a cable. One side of the cable is connected to the back of the monitor, and the other side of the cable is connected to the hard drive cable port. Computer Case: Computer case is also known as computer chassis, system unit, base unit or simply just a case. They are sometimes referred to as a CPU or hard drive. The cases are mainly made of solid steel cover. Inside the computer case is the hard drive, and inside the hard drive are other components such as the motherboard, USB ports, power supply, central processing unit (CPU), and memory. random access (RAM). Hard Drive: A hard drive is the size of a paperback book, however heavier. The sides of the hard drive come with pre-drilled threaded holes for easy mounting into the 3.5-inch drive bay in your computer case. The back of the hard drive contains a port for a cable that connects to the motherboard. The hard drive has many components inside it such as the motherboard, USB ports, power supply, central processing unit (CPU) and random access memory (RAM) The power supply (computer): if it is present a completely important component for a computer, is the power supply, without it, a computer is just a box full of metal and plastic junk. The power supply converts the alternating current (AC) line in your home into the direct current (DC) needed by your personal computer and then transmits the current to each component to do its job. Motherboard- I.... .. half of the card......will not be able to work. Make sure all cables are connected and that your liquid crystal display (LCD) monitor, keyboard, and mouse are also connected.2. When the computer starts up, the monitor will be blank and the computer will be loaded and configured. After you set it up, it will show that everything in the computer is working fine.3. Once this is done I will access my user, using the keyboard and pressing ALT, Ctrl and Delete. Next I will type in my username and password.4. When the computer is ready to use, I will use the mouse to go to the Start icon and left click on it.5. In the Start menu there will be a list of various applications, but the only application I will have to use is Microsoft Word 2010. I will drag the mouse over that icon and left click on it once and wait for it to load.6.
