Love is a very complicated feeling. When someone is in love they tend to do things they wouldn't normally do, they usually block out the rest of the world and focus their attention only on the person they have feelings for. In the poem “On the inside” from the book The Realm of Possibilities, the author Megan, explains the love triangle she is currently in, which gives the idea that falling in love is uncomfortable when the person you are in love with is unaware of your feelings . The author portrays feelings of sadness, which implies that the author's view towards love is negative. This is further elaborated when Megan describes everything she does for her best friend, when her best friend doesn't realize that she is who Megan is. With the sadness she now feels at being ignored by Diana, this could lower her self-esteem giving her no hope of expressing her true feelings towards Diana. This would therefore explain why Megan has never really expressed her feelings towards Diana, she just does favors for her. This situation would give the idea of love a negative connotation because she is in a position where her love is not reciprocated and gives her feelings of
