Topic > Worldwide Company: PepsiCo.Inc - 883

Founded in 1960, PepsiCo.Inc has become one of the most successful and well-managed companies in the world. Creating partnerships with other large companies and producing goods that please their admirers have helped make PepsiCo.Inc a global powerhouse, but would admirers of Pepsi products continue to support them even after the effects of their products were revealed? Would their partners continue to associate with them when their supporters will not? And, perhaps the most important question we need to ask ourselves, with the push for healthy living in the United States by the media and the FDA, how much longer does PepsiCo.Inc have? Only time will tell, but when diseases like obesity and type 2 diabetes are at all-time highs in America, it's not too far-fetched to believe that the day of PepsiCo and other junk food companies will come soon, but change must be done by consumers. You have to make the decision to stay away from PepsiCo products. If a change doesn't happen soon, childhood obesity and disease will skyrocket in future generations, all just because we've turned a blind eye to healthy eating and continued to consume the poison that is PepsiCo products. Through the merger of the two companies Pepsi-Cola and Frito-lay in 1960, PepsiCo.Inc combined the great soft drinks of Pepsi-Cola, Diet Pepsi-Cola and Mountain Dew with the delicious snacks of Fritos and Lays chips that were loved by generation after generation. Shortly after the merger, PepsiCo.Inc launched its new product, Doritos, destined to become the most popular snack chip in America (our story). In 1966, PepsiCo began its push into a global market, with Japan and Eastern Europe (Our Story). Formulas were perfected, bottles were made... middle of paper... steady blood sugar levels. Some reasons this may occur are because your body has not produced enough insulin or you have consumed more sugar than expected. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) an individual should consume only 40 grams of sugar per day (Mitro). Pepsi-cola contains 41 grams in one can! The really scary thing is that people don't just drink a can of Pepsi-cola. In fact, in a year, on average, each American drinks 597 cans of soda containing 32 grams of sugar (Lesson 21.5: Scientific Connections) or 19,104 total grams of sugar when, according to the United States Department of Agriculture, the exceptional amount total grams of sugar that can be consumed in a year are 14600. This is a big difference, don't you agree? All that sugar will definitely have negative effects. Things must change or we will suffer the consequences.
