THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT Director: Eric Bress Actors: Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart Year: 2004 The concept on which the film is based is that something as small as the flapping of a butterfly could turn into something big. Every time even a small detail changes in the past, it has dramatic effects in the future. The film begins with a scene in which Evan Treborn, played by Ashton Kutcher, hides under a desk and writes a note, explaining that if there was anything to save her life, we would do it. The film dates back 13 years. When his mother drops him off at school and Evan's teacher alerts her to a drawing he made, when she asks Evan about it, he says he doesn't remember it. SCHOOLWorried about her son's memory, she takes him to the doctor to have his head scanned, but the doctor sees that everything is fine, but advises Evan to have a diary where he can write everything down, and then remember if he needed it. DOCTORvan is going to his neighbor's house, when suddenly he comes across another of his lagoons where, he doesn't know why, his neighbor George, tells him that they will make a film. Evan soon realizes that he is in the basement, naked next to Kayleigh, and being watched by George and Tommy. FILMEvan's mother returns to the doctor to inform you of Evan's test results, which are negative for "his father's disease". The doctor believes that the gaps and losses of consciousness are the result of the stress produced by the lack of a father figure. Evan visits his father, Jason, in a mental hospital. While Evan spoke nervously with his father, he lost consciousness again, and when he came to he was lying on the ground, with his father trying to strangle him. FA...... middle of the card....... Manni, no longer needing the signs, asks Lola what's in the bag she's carrying, only for the movie to end before a flash forward.
