Topic > Cigarettes: Why They Should Stop Being Produced and Sold

There is a deadly killer circulating in today's world. It lives in people's pockets, purses, jackets and hands. This mass killer looks harmless wrapped in plain white paper with a brown filter on the end, but inside it contains over 500 chemicals that slowly kill you and those around you. It's called a cigarette. While many people are against this deadly form of tobacco, there are people who wouldn't mind, in fact would love, if the production of this product never stopped, simply because they are addicted to it or make money from it. On the other hand, I am against any support of this product. Cigarettes can lead to many diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke, lung cancer and many more. They are especially harmful if you are pregnant, which is also why I, and I hope you too after reading this, will believe that they should stop being made and sold everywhere. Many people smoke cigarettes because they feel like it relieves stress. This is also known as “self-medicating.” The perception that cigarettes relieve stress and feelings of relaxation is nothing more than a myth. In fact, smoking does nothing but relieve stress, in fact, it adds more stress to your life by forcing you to spend all your money on these things and always worry about when will be the next time you can sneak one into your life. working hours or anywhere else you are. As mentioned in the introductory paragraph, smoking can lead to many diseases, for example coronary heart disease. Coronary heart disease is caused when plaque builds up in the arteries of the heart, eventually hardening and narrowing the arteries, limiting the flow of oxygen-supplied blood to organs and other parts of the body… half the paper… .can die in the womb or even after birth. Smoking alone can cause over 5,000 premature deaths and of these deaths, 50% are due to cancer, 40% are due to children suffering from heart disease or stroke, and 30% are due to lung cancer. Even if the mother herself does not smoke, simply being around smoke (some of it second-hand) can result in the baby being born with defects and even a stillbirth. It is proven that cigarettes are deadly, not only from the statements listed in this essay but from many other known reasons. Every year, approximately 450,000 people die from cigarettes, which is why I called this mass murder. The production and sale of this product should be stopped immediately so that we can save lives from deadly diseases, such as heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and from killing and harming unborn children. People should take a stand and stop harming themselves and others.
