Part 1: Impact of AIDS on: • IndividualAIDS impacts the individual because the person is infected with the AIDS pandemic. People with AIDS suffer from stigma and discrimination. This is caused by people not understanding their individual circumstances or what they have been through. AIDS can also affect the relationship an individual has with their family. If the individual is a parent and has AIDS, this can change family roles causing anger and resentment. • Business It will impact skills and productivity. Company profits or profits may be affected. The ability to carry out work will start to deteriorate. The company cannot discriminate against any employee who suffers from HIV/AIDS. The company should start implementing programs to help people prevent it, which costs the company money (extra expenses). Conflict can be created among staff if they discover that an individual is infected. • GovernmentAIDS impacts government because it increases the availability of human capital. The government cannot provide good healthcare to the country's high AIDS population. Young adults die and represent the taxable population which reduces the availability of resources for public spending. Without sufficient funding, the government cannot provide care and treatment to people living with HIV/AIDS. Unemployment as a socio-economic problem in the macro environment of a company directly and indirectly affects the company. Directly: unemployment as a socioeconomic problem affects the macroenvironment. It affects the economic environment and the physical environment.
