Topic > Speech on poverty in Africa - 708

Today in this world children suffer and are bombarded every day by poverty and hunger. Poverty is a major problem for African children and causes not only physical health problems, but also emotional, educational and social problems. Many of these children are seriously ill from the water they drink and not even receive decent food or from extremely contagious diseases widespread in their small towns. Poverty has the worst consequences on people living in Africa, poverty is a problem everywhere. It leaves people hungry, sick and without real space to rest. Some answers to poverty are simple, but we need more people who want to serve. If more people consumed time and money to travel to Africa to help restore people's health. Around 5 million children die every year due to malnutrition in Africa. Not only does lack of food affect poverty-stricken children the most, but water supply also has a huge impact on them. There are not enough water resources close to most of these people, or that are healthy and clean. Every day the children have to walk for kilometers to reach the nearest water source, which mainly comes from streams or rivers also used by livestock. Water is infested with so many diseases that over 50% of African children suffer from water-related illnesses. Some of these diseases are river blindness, bilharzia, sleeping sickness, guinea worm disease, malaria, cholera, and infantile diarrhea. All of these diseases are serious, long-term infections, killing many people every day. There is a huge impact that poverty has on people all over the world. Even if people try to ignore it, everywhere you look there are people struggling with poverty and its consequences. At this point there are many reasons why our cosmos is touched by poverty, one of the reasons is that the world is so overpopulated. Since there are so many people in the world, in this sense there are not enough jobs for people, which leaves people with really little or no pay.
