Finance can be considered the core of the modern business market and investment analysis is an important role widely played by investors for their investment decisions. Investment analysis is defined as the study of how likely an investment will return and how suitable it is for a particular investor, thus being the key to any sound portfolio management strategy. Furthermore, it is the analysis of past investment decisions by looking back at previous investment decisions and the processes for making those decisions. Through this analysis, investors can try to make optimal decisions for their specific investment. Especially with the recent economic downturn, investment analytics is proving to play an important role in the world of finance. All in all, I have no doubt that the Master's in Investment Analysis can quench my thirst for knowledge in this field. During my academic years, I took modules based on my interests such as Fundamentals of Finance, Financial Decision Making, Investment Analysis, Financial Derivatives and Financial Engineering and so on. Despite the difficulty, I chose these modules because I sincerely wanted to prepare for my future career. I believe studying these modules further fueled my interest in finance and certainly had an effect on my decision to choose the Masters in Investment Analysis. For example, for the financial side, I gained knowledge in analyzing a company's performance based on investment analytics such as ratio analysis and how to apply asset pricing models such as the Asset Pricing Model. Capital assets and arbitrage pricing theory in real world situation. Furthermore, there is an undoubted importance in using statistical data in investment analysis and I read… half of the paper… I participated in a baseball club run by the Korean social community in my university. I was a founding member of the sports club and coached beginners. This activity also developed my communication skills and teamwork. Aston University is one of the most prestigious universities in the world and enjoys a high prestige due to the cutting-edge research and excellent facilities it offers students to study and enjoy their higher education. The Masters in Investment Analysis course is also organized by highly reputed faculty and therefore I believe that extending my degree here will be the best stepping stone for my future career goal as a professional investment analyst. Since living abroad, I have become an independent and self-motivated person. I look forward to any future challenges arising from studying at Aston University and believe it will be a success.
