Southwest Airlines is an extraordinary business in the history of American airlines. Has been a competitive leader in the airline industry with the legendary. To better analyze change management at Southwest Airlines, it is important to understand what change management is and how it works. Management of change, or MOC, is a best practice used to ensure that safety, health and environmental risks are controlled when a company makes changes to its facilities, documentation, personnel or operations (Gabele Eduard, 1981 ). Figure 4: Change Management ChangeIn the 1970s, the American airline industry was relatively mature. Crucially, other airlines have created more profitable long-haul routes. Southwest Airlines as a new entrant has failed to find many footholds in the airline industry. Due to the high unit cost and low profits of short-haul routes, no one else would pursue it. In that case, Southwest Airlines did not put its competitors to other airlines at first, but took business from the ground road transportation business. On the route from San Francisco to Las Vegas, Southwest Airlines had reported a low price of 19 dollars, as we know, this price is rarely to buy a bucket of gasoline in the United States. Low prices mean lower operating costs and greater efficiency in the use of resources. First, reduce costs and improve service quality. Southwest Airlines ensures that all flights take off and land at secondary airports. By using this strategy, the airline can not only reduce costs, but also reduce flight delays caused by air traffic. Secondly, Southwest Airlines does not charge flight transfer, meals on the flight and does not assign passengers seat numbers. Of course, the flight transfer and... half the paper... seemed to be efficient and timely at the same time.
