Leon wasn't like many children, he was born with a problematic temperament which was probably a bit too much for his mother who had a mental disorder who also had another child to look after and had no help or support for his father who was always gone away for work. Leon and his family grew up in a troubled urban neighborhood full of violence, drugs and gangs. His environment has shown how it can have an effect on his development.
