The Benefits of Concealed Carrying Firearms Did you know that concealed carrying firearms has reduced the crime rate in every state in the United States in the states that it apply. Concealed carry is a very controversial topic in the United States. Citizens are either in favor or totally against it. Every state in the Union has a law or is about to enact one for the clandestine carrying of weapons. Concealed carrying of firearms dramatically lowers crime rates and makes states that possess them much safer. Concealed carry is a very sensitive and controversial topic in the United States today. On the one hand there are professionals who are in favor of the clandestine carrying of weapons. Most people on this side of the issue use laws like “shall issue” or “may issue”. The concealed carry law is a law that allows anyone who meets or exceeds certifications and requirements to receive a concealed carry permit. The “may issue” law is a law that allows states to allow another entity, such as law enforcement, to administer permits to citizens on a case-by-case basis, as long as the citizens meet certifications and requirements. Another less common law that only a few states have is the free carry law. This law allows any eligible citizen to carry a concealed weapon; in these states there are different laws for gun ownership. Some states that have this law are Alaska and Arizona. On the other side of the issue are those who are against the clandestine carrying of weapons. These citizens think that the law will allow madmen to bear arms. They think he'll create a vigilante group. These citizens believe that we will be taken back to the days of the wild west. Both parties do…half of the paper…must take a training course and qualify for a permit. Guns are not the most dangerous thing in the country, motor vehicles cause more accidental deaths than guns. Guns act as a sort of scapegoat, taking the blame for the crimes in which they are used. The truth is that concealed carry and less restrictive gun laws reduce crime rates in states and lower national crime rates across the country. Every law-abiding, sane, tax-paying citizen in the United States of America should be able to carry a concealed weapon to protect not only himself but other innocent citizens around him.
