One thing many Americans don't know is that afternoon naps can solve their problems. People should take a nap because it is very beneficial for their mental and physical health. Naps can increase productivity, help them improve cognitive performance, and allow them to recharge. Naps can do many things for our bodies and one of them is to increase our productivity. In today's world of work, people are always finding new ways to increase their performance. Naps are similar to the cup of coffee people drink in the morning or at work to keep them going. For example, my mom consumes a lot of coffee every day. Because she works at night, she is often sleep deprived. The daily cup of coffee helps keep her alert and awake. This leads her to be more productive. In just a couple of sips of coffee, my mother is ready to go. This can symbolize when we take naps. Although they require a short amount of time, they give us the energy to go beyond the time it takes to nap. Even just a simple ten to twenty minute nap can help increase productivity. Both coffee and naps are similar in quantity... half the paper... free. They feel energized and are ready to continue. If it weren't for the short naps while doing homework, I would have been sleep deprived and probably wouldn't be where I am today. All in all, naps can help recharge our energy when we need it most. As you can see, there are many great reasons to get some shut-eye in the afternoon. Naps can be very beneficial for your health and well-being.
