They are more impulsive. There is more risk taking. They don't delay like adults, they don't stop to think, literally. During pre- and early adolescence, the brain becomes more competent and dopamine activity increases (Merrefield 1). Things like sex, drugs, and adrenaline feel really good, and when teens are in groups they're even more likely to experience the thrill. These “children” nowadays have the minds of adults, why should this one receive a lesser charge for their actions, especially if it is murder or rape. Teenagers don't stop to think before doing it, kids in general don't stop to think about what they are
