Cardiology is one of the many professions in the medical field. It is also a very important field. Many people around the world are increasingly suffering from problems, including cardiovascular disease. I'm interested because when we were in seventh grade we studied the human body. I was the best at heart and I was also the most interested in heart. Seventh grade isn't as hard and complex as cardiology is, but it got me interested in cardiology. Another reason I'm interested is because my grandmother has heart problems. Cardiologists do many things. Cardiologists study heart function, supervise all heart disease treatments, including medications, and care for patients with cardiovascular disease. Some diseases they might face include; Aneurysm, arrhythmia, chest pain, congestive heart failure, coronary heart disease, heart attack, heart murmur, syncope (fainting) and many more. The daily duties of the cardiologist are to diagnose and treat cardiovascular problems. The cardiologist may work in a hospital or have his own office. Typically their patients are referred to them through their regular doctors. If it's a more serious problem, like a heart attack, they go to the hospital to be examined. A person can attend school for eight to ten years. An individual can go to school for ten years if they wish to specialize in one area. Some specialties include; Cardiovascular ultrasound, cardiovascular imaging, cardiac catheterization, nuclear cardiology and more. If a person is interested in cardiology, he or she has many options to choose from. Before doing... the central part of the paper... and studying it further. Cardiology is especially important in today's society, as other diseases lead to heart problems, diseases such as diabetes. I am still interested in becoming a cardiologist. If anything, researching cardiology made me further interested in the field. The heart is an extraordinary organ that can continue to be studied to find new surgeries and treatments. Even though it will be difficult to finish college and pay tuition, it will be worth it in the end. British School. Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc., 2014. Web.
