What is deployment? Most people think that when someone deploys they think of the military. Most families have or have had a family member or friend join the military and have been deployed around the world. First of all, what is the definition of distribution? “Deployment is the movement of an individual or an entire military unit to an overseas location to carry out a task or mission” (North Carolina Public Schools). This research paper will address many topics that most people don't deal with to the extent the military likes: legal issues, family issues, financial issues, and wills. Furthermore, who is affected by the implementations? What are the advantages and disadvantages of distribution? Is military life different from normal civilian life? What are the benefits of staying in the military? How do military deployments affect the country? These questions will be answered in this research paper. First of all, before a service member deploys, they must make sure they are legally ready. What does it mean to be legally ready? It means the service member and their family must resolve legal issues or have a plan that meets their specific legal requirements, allowing the service member to focus on their job and mission while remaining confident that their legal needs are being met . Service members have legal assistance available on all military installations to assist with legal advice on personal legal matters to service members and their dependents at no cost. Legal matters a service member must get in order before deployment are: estate planning, will, power of attorney, consumer protection, service member civil relief law.
