After his parents die and he is sent to live with his aunt and uncle, he goes on a field trip where he is bitten by a radioactive spider. That's where he got his powers. Later his uncle is killed before his eyes and he uses his powers to find the killer and protect New York by becoming a vigilante. Another reason is his age. He's about the age I and a lot of the people I go to school with and I feel like he's someone we can look up to and relate to. Obviously not the powers but more along the lines of what high school was like. I can only imagine how some of my friends would handle the stress of high school and have powers like that. Just like Tony Stark, he loves what he does and fights to protect the people he loves. Finally, Natasha Romanova is definitely one of my favorite heroines. I will admit that a large part of the reason is because she is a girl. There are all these big, tough guys who are heroes and there are very few women. It would be nice if girls had someone like that to look up to and were represented that way. In some ways she's really relatable, but in others I simply have no idea how she managed to do what she did. For example, I've never killed anyone, but the guilt of something I did and now I have to fix it is relatable. Since he killed so many people, I get the feeling he thinks he should give back whenever he can. I admire it but at the same time I don't really like her. I understand that she feels the need to make things better and make everything go away, but from what we've seen from her in the films so far, she's already made things better.
