I participated in Taekwondo sessions even after abandoning all other activities. I love taking part in the classes because it was really fun and as a bonus, I get to see my friends at least three times a week. Taekwondo actually teaches me something important like self-defense, reading people's movements and how to avoid conflicts. When I started Taekwondo, all I had in mind was to be able to defend myself and not only get my brother to solve all my problems, but now that I've gotten older I've realized that I can defend myself even if I didn't have Taekwondo. My goal has changed to something I enjoy and that is getting a black belt because once I achieve that goal, it will give me a great sense of accomplishment and great motivation to achieve more goals in the future. I'm sure that once I get my black belt, things will change for me, I will learn Bong Moo-yea more, I will learn more advanced self defense and I will also help out a little more in the classroom to teach young students to do the same as do I have. When I get my black belt I assume the things that will change for me will be things like, a new poomsae like how I get one after every new belt I earn New expectations how to know even more Korean, I' We'll learn more things that will probably be more difficult than learning how to make colored belts. When I become a black belt I will probably learn advanced self defense and more Bong Moo-yea. Also, when I become a black belt, I expect that my expectations will be much higher and that I will have to work three times harder than I already work, but that won't stop me from getting my black belt. The morals and values of Taekwondo are very similar to our virtues because both are a different way of saying it's the right thing to do. Some moral principles and values of Taekwondo are honesty, helpfulness and compassion. Even being kind to an elder or listing your parents are a few. When you talk about morals and values you have to remember that if you are disrespectful and don't list but talk over others, you are going against the morals and values of a black belt or Taekwondo. In reality, if I did something that goes against our morals and values, it would also go against all human virtues, and that's not a good thing. Please note: this is just an example.
