It is divided into two halves by a deep fissure. These two hemispheres interact with each other through a dense array of nerves called the corpus callosum. Messages sent to and from one side of the body are usually handled by the other side of the brain, which seems incredibly confusing. The hemispheres of the brain are divided into four lobes.
