The police officer has influenced me greatly on what and how they do their job day in and day out to protect us. Just as they approach the moving crime scene or after the fact, the officer is in control of the crime scene. He must write a report, take photos and collect and preserve anything that could link evidence to the crime. This in a sense also makes the officer a crime scene investigator. With the criminal justice system at work every day, officers work to protect the community and society to ensure safety and security throughout our daily lives. To succeed in this, we as a society must contribute to this effort to secure the future of our own
