Informative language aims to provide readers with real information, something that is useful and true. Informational language is generally used everywhere. More specifically, in school, university and law enforcement. For example, “students are not allowed to use cell phones or electronic devices during the exam,” the professor said. In this case the professor warned that cell phones are prohibited during the test. when using informational language effectively, it would be helpful to provide information and point out the problem in the conversation. In our society the information function is fundamental. Because having informative language in context would create logical order, maintain belief, and expand knowledge. As mentioned above, informational language allows teachers to teach lessons and help police enforce the law. Road signs are an informational language, as are books in the library.
