Raphael came in and said I needed to go to the school office, which to personally have her tell you to go to the office was never a good idea. When I followed her into the office, both my parents were in the hallway and my mom was crying, so I immediately started thinking I was going to be in big trouble for something I didn't realize or something. those jokes, but when we entered the principal's office, my father told me that my grandmother had just died. My grandmother's death was very sudden and took my entire family completely by surprise because, although they were still very sad that my grandfather had died about a month earlier, she was, overall, in good health other than the fact that he had Alzheimer's. We were all able to attend his funeral except my brother, who had just started his freshman year at NAU a few days before. Even though my grandmother's death was a much bigger shock, it still had – at least in my mind – less of an impact on me than my grandfather's expected death some time earlier.
