China's one-child policy should be stopped due to its violation of women's reproductive rights and human rights and its negative effect on China's current and future economic growth. This policy was the result of the failures of former Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mao Zedong, which led to a man-made famine that led to the deaths of over 30 million citizens.
