Topic > My Best Friend Speech - 1395

Here we meet new people and classmates who will likely continue this exciting journey beyond middle and high school. It was May 2011, when I had just experienced an almost full year of middle school; while my brother was finishing 10th grade before facing the challenges of first year. We woke up at 8am as usual on Sunday morning and started our normal daily routine of brushing our teeth and then cleaning up the housework. It wasn't until we finished our bowls of breakfast cereal when we both realized that today was Mother's Day! Not knowing what our mother would have wanted, we ended up spending countless hours scrolling online in hopes of finding something interesting. To our dismay, we were disappointed that nothing caught our attention and we both buried our heads on the desk in desperation. In a last ditch effort, we decided to take a walk to Target and possibly pick up some sort of last minute gift before the sun went down. While we couldn't find a meaningful gift for our mother, I realized that the relentless hours spent chatting and searching for a Mother's Day gift truly brought us together. Even though I didn't thank him for his cooperation and patience with me then, it was still a happy moment that we can both share.
