This is a bit shocking. I'll look at how much I could save on loans by both getting another job this summer and saving less money to spend throughout the year. This way I hope not to take out any loans next year and hopefully not have to take out many in the following years of college. The spending diary assignment is a great starting point for anyone who is trying to get their finances under control. It's beneficial because it helps you see what you spend the most on and allows you to change your spending habits. Not only does it make you more aware of how you spend your money, but it also makes you more accountable to yourself for how you spend it.
