Topic > Developing paragraphs, proofreading, and creating…

Writing, just like anything else in life, is something that can never be perfected by any man, whether Stephen King, Stan Lee, or of a normal university student. The subject of the writing cannot be perfect because it is an art and in some cases the final work can be seen as beautiful to one person and horrible to another. Authors always have to proofread, send their work to a publisher and rewrite the material and even if the book is not always one hundred percent correct. As a college student my writing isn't up to par with authors like Stephen King, but in some ways we are similar because my writing is flawed too. There are many areas of the writing field that I need to work on, although I will mainly focus on three main points that need to be developed more than others, such as: developing paragraphs, proofreading, and creating better introductions. First, the main areas one thing in my writing that needs improvement is paragraph development. During my first semester in college I was assigned a series of essays to complete for my English composition course, and from time to time Professor Antenor suggested that I develop my ideas to a greater extent. However, I kept getting this note on the essay I turned in whenever there was an improvement over the last paper I turned in. An example would be in my last essay that we turned in, in some cases it was stated that the paragraph contained great things. content and was detailed, but then later in the same essay another paragraph would have a note suggesting that they work to elaborate more on some subtopics. Paragraph development is the main problem with my writing because if the idea is not fully developed the reader may be misinformed. The writing needs to be as detailed as... half a sheet of paper... completely capture the reader's attention. To conclude, writing is an art form that takes years to master and is impossible to perfect. Every writer, even Stephen King, has to proofread his work and have it reviewed by an editor to make sure there are no errors, but even then not all people who read the book will appreciate it. My writing needs improvement in many areas, but particularly in the areas of paragraph development, proofreading, and creating, if better, introductory paragraphs. The way I can improve in all these subjects is to go to the writing center where the professors will help me for free. This is the best option to get help because I will get professional criticism which can improve my writing skills. Finally, I think it's important that my writing is as close to perfect as possible because it will be an asset to me throughout my life..
