Most of the lesson plans that I call successful I have enjoyed and excelled at. I think I was able to perform well and appreciate something because of the way the material was presented. The teacher managed to make the history lesson exciting and new. For one lesson we were able to read in small groups. Every day we played a warm-up game about the previous day's reading. The details the teacher put into the lesson plan made it enjoyable for all students, including ELL students. Engagement was the main aspect of the lesson plan that made it special. Teachers can determine engagement based on involvement in group work, involvement in discussion, and classroom presence. To sustain involvement, the teacher should also be involved. If teachers are enthusiastic about the subject, students will be too. This means that every month, every semester, every year teachers should try to improve their lessons with feedback from previous lessons or semesters. As a student I know that a teacher gets bored of a lesson because he has been teaching the same thing for ten years. If teachers want to keep students engaged, teachers must stay
