Time and again African Americans are erroneously stereotyped, while society tells them that these are not stereotypes, but reality. The 1992 Los Angeles riots were intended to show that African Americans were tired of being beaten, but they only served to show African Americans how little value they represented to this country. Indeed, prevailing familial ideologies and attitudes appear to have had a resurgence, and African Americans are once again being called animals. Given these ongoing oppressions, it is only a matter of time before African Americans once again tire of being targeted and harassed. America should be careful how it treats a race that has given so much to this nation. Racial profiling has no place in the modern world
