The final analysis that Guru Nanak must have intended to pursue the religion of Sikhism is that he created the institution of the Guru, appointing his disciple Lehna as his new successor before he died so that the religious traditions could travel for decades to come. He didn't want his hard work and the knowledge he had already discovered to die out without being able to bring it to life
