This bill funds important child nutrition programs such as the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) that are in place in schools across the United States . In addition to funding these programs, the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 also allows for the formation of new nutritional standards for foods sold on school property during school hours. Furthermore, this act increases the resources available to the school to facilitate the transition towards healthier, more nutritious and balanced meals, also outlining the guidelines for the program
