Awaiting ParenthoodJason and I have been inseparable friends our whole lives. Jason met, fell in love with, and married Kelli right after college. Jason and Kelli have always dreamed of becoming parents. After many discouraging attempts to conceive, they felt their dream would never come true. It was then that they decided to begin foster care to fill a void in their lives and to provide a safe, loving home for children in need. Jason and Kelli have welcomed more than a dozen foster children in the past 10 years. Kaden, a smart and curious 2-year-old, came into their life 1 year ago as a foster child. Kaden came from a horrible past, tainted by abuse and neglect, born at the hands of his biological mother, who is currently serving a life sentence in state prison. He quickly bonded and thrived while being cared for by Jason and Kelli. The couple immediately knew they were destined to be together with Kaden. Jason and Kelli hoped to adopt Kaden, however, Kelli was tragically killed in a car accident. Jason felt his dream of adopting had died along with his wife; never believing he would be approved for adoption being a single parent. I believe Jason would be an excellent candidate for adopting Kaden due to his financial stability, his involvement in the community by being an active volunteer for Big Brother, and providing a loving home for Kaden over the past year. Jason can more than adequately provide financial support needed to raise a child. Jason has owned and operated his profitable financial planning business for over 15 years. His financial stability will be more than sufficient to meet Kaden's future needs, as well as his recreational and educational needs, so...... middle of document ...... hildwelfare.gov/pubs/f_fospar.cfm) How you can see Jason would be a great choice as a parent. She will raise Kaden in a financially secure home where she can provide for all of his wants and needs. Jason is active in community service and volunteerism, which will provide Kaden with a positive role model. Kaden, having been raised by Jason for the past year and a half, would live in a familiar, comfortable and safe environment. Allowing this adoption to proceed would mean providing Kaden with a loving, caring, and competent father, as well as providing Jason with the opportunity to fulfill his and his late wife's dream! I urge you to make the only right choice: do Jason and Kaden; Father and son. Jason is waiting to become a parent. Meezan and Shireman, (1985a, 1985b). Benefits of adopting by a foster parent.
