Cognitive behavioral therapy is a combination of cognitive therapies such as reality therapy and cognitive therapy with behavioral therapies such as rational-emotive behavioral therapy and behavioral therapy. Cognitive therapy emphasizes the role that cognitive functions play on mental disorders and tries to alleviate that way of thinking. Behavioral therapy attempts to alleviate faulty thinking by modifying certain behaviors and training. One theory that developed from this integration of therapies is Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy
