1) The Parthenon was built to replace the earlier temples of Athena that were famous in that time period. The structure of the Parthenon consists of a rectangular floor with a series of low steps on each side, and a colonnade of columns that extends around the entire building. It has more than one entrance in each of which has a six-column addition at the front. The Parthenon has two large rooms inside. The larger of the two internal rooms, called "The Naos", has a statue inside. The smaller room was practically used to store treasures. The Parthenon symbolizes the power and influence of the Athenian politician who supported its construction.2) Contrapposto is an artistic term that describes a particular pose that an artist can give to his sculpture, if it has a human figure. in reality, the purpose of this pose is so that the person they are modeling can keep their weight shifted to one leg, which would make the leg appear stiff with the knee locked out. The foot should be flat on the floor and the hip pushed out slightly. One work of art that was modeled with the Contrapposto structure is polykleitos doryphoros. This art has a Contrapposto form because it shows idealized young people with divine characteristics. In this work the statue rests with most of its weight on one foot so that the shoulders and rotated arms resemble legs.Chapter 33) The ''second style'' began in Rome at the beginning of the 1st century. This style opened a new style in Roman-type painting. One of the most popular places to paint the second style was the walls. The second style involves creating illusory spaces and areas by providing an illusion of images that reflect imaginary scenes. The Renaissance is known as a cultural movement in Europe during the 14th-17th centuries, the era when classical art, architecture and literature flourished. I chose Michelangelo's name because he contributed to the term "Renaissance man" because he was one of the first artists to use more specific and detailed ways to paint.10) What the student meant was that he considers nature as one of the most perfect and specific to describe art. He thinks that nature could teach him more by art than a person who can make mistakes.
