Thoreau is saying that majorities are not always right, but they most likely win because they are stronger. I also agree with Thoreau on this statement, because I believe that it is wrong to have a majority to decide what should or should not be done, as the results may not always be right for others. I remember when I was in high school, a friend of mine was running for vice president of a club. He had prepared his speeches. However, on election day, one of the famous basketball girls decided to run against her. All the club members voted for the basketball girl, even though she was not well trained and did not have much knowledge about the club. They chose her because they liked her, not because of how she could benefit the club or how good her speech was. This taught me that majorities don't always make the right decision. Therefore, I believe that the citizens of South Central Los Angeles made a good decision in fighting against the strongest group to get their justice back, but a bad decision in who to choose
