Their relative success is no mask for the overall collapse of the Inca civilization. The Incas were no match for the organised, strong and numerous Spanish conquistadors. Furthermore, their highly community-oriented civilization resulted in virtually zero independence for an average Inca. However, their efficiency, which is evident in their diligence in every aspect of the Inca lifestyle, is truly inspiring. The simple fact that Inca engineers innovatively designed their infrastructure to properly harmonize with nature instead of forcing it puts into perspective how we challenge technological norms in the 21st century. Their willingness to work together and, at that, to work hard, requires us to sincerely ask ourselves how important our personal growth is in relation to the collective improvement of society. The Incas were also referred to as the most peaceful organizations; they were more likely to participate in negotiations rather than war. Likewise, they were always prepared for battle: every Inca was ready to go to war at short notice. The Incas were skilled, talented and thoughtful; they may not have survived the Spanish conquest, but their character would certainly have prevailed
