Board of Education was important to American history because it ended segregation in schools. This court case was a huge victory in the civil rights movement. Little Rock 9The Little Rock 9 was significant to American history because it demonstrated that even though courts outlawed segregation in schools, people fought against it. The group of 9 African-American students from Little Rock, Arkansas demonstrated that actually achieving equality would be a dangerous road.
