Topic > Getting Recognized for Diligence - 589

When you have the opportunity to describe yourself with one word, it's important to find the word that got you to where you currently are in life. "Diligent" is the word that identifies me most. The online dictionary defines diligent as 1. constant in the effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything. 2. Done or pursued with persevering attention (Dictionary.com). This definition agrees with how I understand the word. Diligence can be divided into two parts which will show how this word is the product of different skills and characteristics. For a person to be diligent, he or she will first have to try to accomplish something. This shows that they are adding value to their lives by challenging themselves. Making something has to be governed by rules, and that means the way to be diligent is to try to make something carefully. It is not enough to try to achieve, but rather to impose rules on yourself to ensure that the reward (of whatever you are trying to achieve) is truly satisfying. When it comes to people's characteristics, being a diligent worker cannot be fully understood if taught by someone else. It's one of those rare traits that you can only teach yourself when you realize that this is the way society wants people to be. Having a sense of pride in the effort you put into your work will keep you dependent on achieving a certain standard in any job you do. In my experience, there is no greater reward than being rewarded for the carefully chosen work you do. Whether it's schoolwork or general housework, paying attention and being persistent will lead to success. Other words that fall into me ...... middle of paper ...... people. It is essential to be diligent to exceed the average and aim for the advanced. Throughout my life I have found that people usually appreciate diligent workers. Getting recognized for diligence is not as important as staying at a level where everything you do is diligent work. I found it necessary to apply this word to my life because it has helped me in my past and will be the reason for the success of my future. Works Cited1.
