By studying works of art and understanding their meaning, shared knowledge has the potential to shape personal knowledge to a large extent, consequently raising the question of knowledge, “to what extent 'preliminary skill, education and art necessary to impact the collective arts community.' However, without the existence, diffusion and development of personal knowledge, there is no room for the growth of shared knowledge. Personal knowledge can lead to the birth of artistic movements and therefore to the creation of artistic movements. Art movements could subsequently lead to a paradigm shift. Shared knowledge and personal knowledge must work hand in hand to help shape knowledge. Therefore, I agree with the statement that personal knowledge is based on the foundation of shared knowledge up to a certain point
