Bias occurs in two ways, first when we have strong personal attributions and second when we tend to make more personal attributions about other people's behavior. There is also a term fundamental attribution error which refers to when we overestimate the role of personal factors and when we do not take care of the impact of situations. This error is related to correspondence bias, when for example we attribute behaviors to people's behaviors without knowing the factor that motivates the behavior. Sometimes we know the circumstances but overlook them and instead imagine that this person always behaves this way. It's important to know our biases so we can start correcting them
