Personal reflection is important in leadership and especially if a behavior is to be practiced to become a routine. Reflection-on-action studies present individual behavior while reflection-on-action analyzes past events. Personal journey disciplines consist of skills that help in the nursing profession, especially when you are improving yourself to become a leader. These skills include problem solving and leadership skills that are essential for solving leadership problems. Effective problem solving is a strength I possess and has helped me effectively lead the nursing team as I work to improve my environment as an individual and improve the working conditions of my co-workers.
