Coaches and various coaching methods have been around for a long time. These coaching theories have evolved and developed over the years with the aspects of mentoring, motivating, teaching, training and instructing people to learn tasks as easily as they identify shapes and sounds as children to teaching someone how to drive a car. Teachers who teach students appropriate mathematical theories or how to conduct scientific experiments have all been associated with traditional direct instruction methods. Coaching comes in all forms and can be attributed to the development of students, athletes, or even many real-world cases for job performance and development. Coaches need to understand the methods they want to use to coach their players. Coaches will need plans to teach, motivate, develop and evaluate to effectively lead a team. Coaches need to realize that all players are not the same and may learn drills or tasks in different ways. All of these aspects of coaching must be considered before establishing the dynamic between coach and player. Coaches must take into consideration many unique and different mentalities and physical abilities and then try to formulate a training strategy that best integrates all those players into the total team concept. Coaches are at an advantage in team sports because of the team's role as a cohesive group that can learn and grow based on each individual's actions. I feel like my perspective and coaching style fall into different aspects of constructivist theory. First of all, I believe in total team effort. No player is more important than the entire team if the entire team behaves as a single unit. I believe in the minutes and in the hands... in the middle of the paper... I will instruct the players. I definitely plan to use many elements of constructivist theory. I believe it is very important to establish a complex structure and balance between how I coach the team, what I teach them and the interaction between the players, the tasks and my coaching staff. Communication will be the key to any success. We will provide immediate feedback whenever possible and will certainly take advantage of every opportunity possible to provide honest feedback and potential ways to overcome shortcomings in order to increase performance standards. My goal is to discover all of my athlete's potential abilities, skill levels, readiness, and, probably most importantly, what my players' individual goals are. I will decide to establish and use the task analysis process to determine skill and ability levels before I can move forward with my coaching program (Huber, 2013).
